I'll have a . . .

Sonic burger with mustard and a medium diet cherry limeade.

Sometimes that just sounds good to me.

Well, not so fast zus. There are geen Sonic's in Belgie.

And here's the proof.

Subject: Sonic restaurant in Europe?

Hi, I am an American living in Belgium and wondered if there are Sonic restaurants in Europe? The restaurant locator on your website indicates U.S. businesses only. Just wondering.

Thanks.

Geen Sonic's in Belgie.

Geen Sonic's in Europa.

Which I must say is probably not such a bad thing.

FYI - Geen = None - pronounced kinda like "heen" - not like "green" without the "r". More like "heen" with a 'coughing up a hairball' sound at the beginning.

Yeah, like that.

Oh, and I found this recipe online and although there's nothing quite like Sonic ice :-|, this takes care of half my order.

Sonic Cherry Limeade

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Fill a 16 oz glass 2/3 full with ice Pour sprite over the ice.
  2. 2
add the juice of 3 lime wedges and drop them into the drink.
  3. 3
add the cherry juice and serve with straw.
  4. 4
    Makes 1 16oz drink.

There is one thing missing. A real maraschino cherry with stem goes in first! So, I'm off to the store! Wonder what the chances are of my finding these 3 ingredients + the straw & that stemmed maraschino cherry?
