Road Trip(s)

This past weekend we took some road trips - to Brussels one day, to Amsterdam the next and to the Ardennes Mountains in Germany the next. Amsterdam is a really huge old city and there were lots and lots of people. We wanted to tour the Anne Frank Huis, but the line was so long we'd probably still be there if we'd waited. Here's a picture of just a few of the bikes we saw that day. The "parking garage" over to the left is filled with bikes in several levels!

The German (aka Deutschland) countryside was picturesque and not so many people. I was a little queasy a few times with the hills and curves, but it was really beautiful and the weather was perfect. We had a very nice day. Thanks again to Jim for driving! Here's a picture of all of us in Heimbach and a sample of the beautiful view.
