The Palace

Buckingham Palace

Built in 1705 for the Duke of Buckingham, it became the official London residence of the British Monarch on the ascension of Queen Victoria in 1837.

I'm pretty sure this is the Household Cavalry guarding the palace.

After reprimanding me to get out of the street, they just walked on by. That was it.

Across the street from the Palace is Green Park.

Long day for this guy. He will not be relieved this day.

This place really is huge. It has 830,000 sq. ft!

The Victoria Memorial

A white marble sculpture with a nautical theme is right in front of the Palace - by Sir Thomas Brock.

Queen Victoria, herself.
