We live in the part of Belgium known as the Lowlands. There is a lot of farmland and it's relatively flat.
But you don't have to drive very far to get into some rolling hills and vistas where you can see for miles.
We often take a drive when the weather is nice.
On one of these "Sunday drives" we detoured to the city of Sittard in the Netherlands.
We had a commitment back in Hasselt so we only had about 20 minutes to quickly walk about Sittard.
The centrum was beautiful and sort of reminded me of Brugge.
That 20 minute stroll definitely made me want to come back.
For a lot of reasons, including this one. Delicioso!
